Your bloods came back normal. You still feel depleted.
Pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding draw on your iron, thyroid, iodine and more, often for 12 to 18 months. This guide every mother should have, it shows you what to test, and how to start your rebuild.

Tired in a way that sleep does not fix
And you are not failing to cope. Does any of this sound familiar?
Exhaustion that rest does not touch
Even on the nights the baby sleeps.
Brain fog and losing words
Forgetfulness that feels bigger than tiredness.
Hair loss that keeps going
Well past the early postpartum months.
Wired but tired
Unable to wind down, even when you can sleep.
Low mood or a shorter fuse
Anxiety, flatness or irritability that is new.
Cravings and energy crashes
Rarely feeling satisfied after a meal.
Often there is a physiological driver underneath that a blood test can find. Always test. Never guess.
A normal result means you are not yet sick
It does not mean you are well. Ferritin, your stored iron, is the clearest example.
A ferritin of 20 passes a standard check and sits well short of where most women feel well.
Your baby is a highly efficient extractor
For as long as you are pregnant or breastfeeding, your body prioritises your baby's supply over your own stores.
Iron
The most common and most underdiagnosed driver of postpartum fatigue.
Thyroid and iodine
Postpartum thyroiditis affects up to 1 in 10 women and mimics new mum exhaustion.
Choline
Concentrated into breastmilk, often at the expense of your own stores.
Not about bouncing back. About building forward.

Clinical rigour for a physiological chapter
I'm Georgia Page, an osteopath and functional medicine practitioner trained through the Kresser Institute, and a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle.
I work with women who have been told their results are normal and who still do not feel like themselves. Birth is one of the most significant physiological events a body goes through. The recovery deserves the same level of care.

Good to know
Is the guide really free?
Yes. Enter your first name and email and it is sent straight to your inbox. You can unsubscribe any time.
I'm still breastfeeding. Is this relevant?
Especially so. Breastfeeding keeps drawing on your iron, iodine, choline, calcium and B12 for as long as you feed.
How far postpartum is too late?
There is no cut off. Depletion can persist for years, particularly after back to back pregnancies or extended breastfeeding.
Can I use bloods I've already had done?
For the Functional Blood Analysis, yes. Results from the past three months can be used. If you need new tests, you will receive a GP request letter, if you do not have a GP I can order them for you.
Does this replace my GP?
No. The guide and the analysis work alongside your GP.
You are not behind. You are in it.
Start with the guide. It takes two minutes to request and gives you a clear place to begin.
